Heathcote, in Central Victoria, is recognised as one of Australia's premier wine regions. Wanted Man's single estate vineyard is naturally low-yielding on the rugged, free-draining ancient white quartz of Cambrian soil. The vineyard dates to 1992 and is planted primarily to Shiraz, and contains parcels of Viognier, Marsanne, Dolcetto and a small amount of Merlot.
Commited to expressing the unique terroir of Heathcote, with a love and appreciation of the rich, spicy wines of the Northern Rhone, we produce a premium Black Label 'WM' Shiraz, Shiraz Viognier and Shiraz Dolcetto, and early release 'White Label' wines from Shiraz and Marsanne Viognier.
The brand's striking imagery is a contemporary representation of the iconic Australian folk hero and bushranger as well as an homage to Australian singer Paul Kelly. The Wanted Man labels, created by renowned cartoonist Mark Knight, are highly distinctive and visual and like its connections, authentically Australian.
Wanted Man wines have strong distribution in export markets and are found at selected restaurants and independent fine wine merchants in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
