• The Makers

We’ve pulled in the craftiest bunch of characters we could find to help grow, harvest, and care for our grapes, and craft them into wines that people just love. We chose Matt Harrop, of Shadowfax Wines, to make Wanted Man shiraz and marsanne viognier because of his skill in handcrafting top wines that reflect their special plot of land. He’s spent several vintages in Europe’s great wine regions, in the Hunter Valley and Marlborough, and shares our particular love of the rich, spicy wines of the Rhone Valley. The viticultural team is led by local lad Mark Walpole, one of Australia’s leading viticulturalists, and our experienced vineyard manager, Callan Randall.

  • Heathcote

According to wine columnist Max Allen, Central Victoria’s Heathcote region has “some of the most exciting grape growing dirt in Australia”. It’s rich, red Cambrian soil, cool nights and warm, dry days make for concentrated reds and deep, textural whites. It’s globally renowned for producing excellent shiraz, and who can say no to a great Aussie shiraz?
We couldn’t, so that’s why we chose our small, twenty acre north-facing block to yield the best grapes a wine lover could ask for.
